1. How do I enable the Observer Report?
The Observer Report allows observers assigned to a project to view the recording and transcript of a completed session.
To enable it:
1. Open the Report page for the session.
2. Click the gear icon next to the session name.
3. Select Enable Observer Report.
The Observer Report is disabled by default and must be enabled manually for each session.
2. What can observers access?
Once the Observer Report has been enabled, all observers assigned to the project can:
- View the session recording.
- View the session transcript.
Observers cannot download the recording or transcript.
3. How do observers access a session?
Observers do not join sessions using participant links.
Instead, they must be added to the project as platform users. Once assigned to the project, they can log in to the platform, access their assigned projects, and join sessions directly. New users will automatically receive a registration email.
4. Can Brainstork Support change a user's role?
No. The Brainstork Support team cannot change user roles.
Only users with the Project Manager or Manager role can change a user's role (for example, from Observer to Moderator).
5. How can I prevent clients from accessing a specific interview?
Observers have access to all sessions within a project. If a particular interview should not be accessible to client observers, the recommended approach is to create a separate project for that interview and only add your internal team members.
As long as no client observers are assigned to the new project, they will not be able to access the live session, recording, or transcript.
