Before you can use Brainstork, you must give your web browser permission to access your camera and microphone.
To Enable Permissions on Supported Browsers:
Access to your browser is controlled via the camera/microphone or padlock icon seen in your search bar on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari. You Should receive an automatic message when a browser is attempting to access your microphone and camera. Click "Allow" to grant permission.
If Access Is Blocked or Denied:
If you accidentally clicked block instead of allowing when the permission pop-up showed the first time, Brainstork can not use your camera or microphone. In this case, you need to give permission to your camera and microphone following the steps below. The steps change according to the browsers:
Google Chrome
1. Click the 'padlock' icon found in your search bar.
2. Click the drop-down menu for "Camera".
3. Click "Allow".
4. Repeat for Microphone.
5. Refresh the browser.
6. Continue with the process.
Mozilla Firefox
1. Click the permissions settings icon next to the search bar.
2. Click to remove "Blocked Temporarily" next to the microphone.
3. Click to remove "Blocked Temporarily" next to the camera.
4. Click on the status of "Autoplay"
5. Click "Allow Audio and Video".
6. Refresh Browser.
7. Continue with the process.
Microsoft Edge (Chromium)
1. Click the padlock next to the search bar.
2. Click on the status of "Camera".
3. Click "Allow".
4. Repeat for "Microphone".
5. Refresh Browser.
6. Continue with the process.
Apple Safari
1. Launch Safari on your Mac.
2. Click on the Safari app menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. Click on Preferences.
4. Select the Websites tab.
5. Click on the camera in the sidebar.
6. Select a website that is currently open.
7. Select the permission for the Brainstork. You can allow, deny, or require Brainstork to ask permission every time.
