If everyone can hear you but can not see you, there might be a camera or connectivity issue.
1 - Refresh your page.
You can reconnect to the session by refreshing the page, which helps with the majority of the cases.
2 - Check if your webcam is working.
Make sure that you give permission to your camera during the test.
Make sure that you have an active and functional webcam. You can check if Brainstork can detect your camera here. Make sure that you give permission to your camera during the test.
3 - Check your browser permissions.
You need to give the browser permission to your webcam. If permission is not given or a different video device is selected, others can not see you. You can find the instructions to access your browser settings here.
4 - Check your system settings.
The browser you are using needs to have permission from your operating system to use the webcam. You can find the instructions to access your system settings here.
5 - Make sure your webcam is not covered.
If you connected the session with audio but your video stream is black, please check if there is a lid covering your camera.
6 - Make sure that you don't change the tab.
You should actively stay on the page, where Brainstork is open and the session is happening. If you move to another tab or application, your camera might turn off automatically.
7 - Check your internet speed and stability.
Brainstork automatically shuts off your video stream if your internet connection is poor or not stable. If this is the case, your video will be automatically activated once the connection becomes stable. We recommend an upload speed of at least 1Mbps for a healthy session. You can check your internet speed here.
